I've dug out the book and it suggests this could be a 1982 S3, but more by inference than direct statement - Santana were doing lots of different versions and series in early 80s without harmonising details across all the different lines - some had new features while others retained older elements. It's not S3a which arrived later in 82 with one-piece windscreen and winding windows; the big mirrors if genuine could be early 80s, although book pics show them usually on the wing, not the door. |

I've dug out the book and it suggests this could be a 1982 S3, but more by inference than direct statement - Santana were doing lots of different versions and series in early 80s without harmonising details across all the different lines - some had new features while others retained older elements. It's not S3a which arrived later in 82 with one-piece windscreen and winding windows; the big mirrors if genuine could be early 80s, although book pics show them usually on the wing, not the door.
