Most of these cars were Ford Probes. |

That's because back in 1989 they looked so futuristic. |

I'll bet that windshield leaks, |

C'mon, clearly, the aerodynamics of this machine are so good, that rain falls around the car (even when it's standing still) |

Note the white Pulsar in the background... |

That looks really tacky |

This was supposed to be 2015...The people who made the choices about what the future...seem to have been WAY OFF...I know right now it's just over half-way through 2013, so there's a little time left, but I haven't seen 1 hover board, the popularity of fluorescent colored clothing & shit died off prior to 1994, I also see a C3 body Corvette in one of those future shots, now corvettes have glass non-flip up headlights, I actually HAVE seen vending machines that behave somewhat like how he got his Pepsi in "Café 1980s", but no Auto-Shoelaces...etc.. |

Dude, way to miss the point !! , Zemeckis said that they don't even really TRIED to predict it cos nobody can predict the future , they portrayed the future as a FUN place where you would actually want to live and hang around -- Last edit: 2013-06-29 21:40:01 |

IMaDEMON has a point. Ostensibly they tried to make the cars look "futuristic." But the styling is straight out of the late-1980s at best. Look at that grey car in the background (in front of the VW). That thing SCREAMS 80s if not 70s! Actually, I think one of the few cars in the movie that IS foward-looking is that cool police car. /vehicle_11629-Made-for-Movie.html The closer we get to 2015, the funnier it gets. If they really could have predicted the future, every car would have been less sci-fi, and every car would have been silver or white. That's no fun though! He's right about the clothing too. Everything in 2015 is hot pink or other florescent colors. But that's really late-80s fashion. Sadly, nobody wears clothes these days that have any color, just like what's become of cars. |

I'll have to recover that pic (or re-make the capture from the DVD), but here is a photo of the car visible at Universal Studios (photo taken by my sister) |

The windshield looks like a `82 Camaro rear window. |

Unless your name is Matt Groening, then yes, you cannot predict the future. -- Last edit: 2018-03-14 14:47:26 |

Since cars fly in this movie, the sticker is literal. |
◊ 2020-02-02 03:43 |
at least they'll try to save birds.. some other flying things won't brake for anything.. |
◊ 2022-07-20 04:13 |
Until I looked at the still, I didn't see it. But now, that's an F body rear window, slapped on there. |
