![]() ![]() ![]() In series 5 (2004), Tony buys AJ a brand new Nissan Xterra as an incentive to pass his exam, it appears in one episode then isn't seen for the rest of the series, yet presumably AJ still gets to drive it. In episode 11 of series 6, we see a yellow Xterra belonging to AJ in the garage of the house, Tony smashes the windscreen with AJ's old football helmet to reiterate that he's serious that AJ should shape up and start a new job. However this Xterra is the newer redesigned model released in 2005. It appears again in the second half of series 6, from episode 6.16 onwards. In the final episode AJ and his girlfriend Rhianna are sitting in the car listening to music, then they start to make out. Suddenly smokes is oozing through the air vents and the whole car starts to catch fire, AJ and Rhianna scramble out of the car as the whole thing goes up in flames. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But, when we see the exterior of the Xterra on fire, it turns out they destroyed a previous model, just like the one used in series 5. For the interior shots in that scene however, they use a current model Xterra. -- Last edit: 2012-03-15 03:14:24 |

2005 - 2008 for color also. Episode aired 06/10/2007 - and looks like it was filmed during the fall, so likely not a 2008. Per photos above, this is an SE with no body side moldings. "For 2007, enhancements include standard mud guards on all 4x4 models; an auxiliary input jack is now a part of the Rockford Fosgate Audio Package on the SE models; a leather-wrapped steering wheel and sunglass holder are now standard in Xterra Off Road grade; body side molding is now standard on SE models; and ..." -- 2007 Nissan Xterra Press Kit retrieved today from usa dot nissannews dot com, Before 2007, body side moldings were an optional accessory. This matches data in the 2005 and 2008 Xterra brochures (could not find 06 or 07). Thus, I'm saying 2005-2006. |
