That "The" on the first page is just part of the whole title, not the model name. They used indeed a "The Beetle" plate on the photos, but it does not look like a model name, as they do not use that name anywhere else in the document. Sometimes they use "the" (lowercase) as an article, or just "Beetle" without "The".
