The first Volvos, being locally made, were extremely expensive to build and sell and were treated as luxury cars in Sweden. The truck and bus chassis picked up more quickly, while Volvo passenger cars were not a broadly affordable option until the advent of the PV444.
Lateef ◊ 2025-03-15 20:21	Swedish bus with Arvika body. Original Swedish reg. was F 5296 and operated with Halmstad-Nässjö järnvägs AB. Arrived in Norway as one of the famous "white buses" in 1946, registered shortly after and operated for Østre Toten bilruter from 1951. Retired in 1974.
