Dino or Ferrari Dino?
Dino was a "separate" make at that time.
5 or 6 cars are published on this site as "Ferrari Dino" while they should be named "Dino" "tout court".

Dino was the name of Enzo Ferrari's son. The brand was created alongside Ferrari.

The car is technically a Dino 246 GTS but is commonly known as a Ferrari Dino.It was built in the Ferrari factory alongside the bigger Ferrari's.Enzo Ferrari wanted to pay a lasting tribute to His son who died from muscular dystrophy aged 24.Dino had had some involvement in the concept/design of small v6 engines for Ferrari and Ferrari needed a "cheaper" car to tap into more markets so He decreed that these cars should carry the 'DINO' badge (at that time,He also believed that a 'real' Ferrari should have a v12 engine, preferably mounted at the front "The horse pulls the cart,it does not push it").The DINO badge remained on the smaller Ferrari's until 1976 with the introduction of the 308 GTB (when some felt that the DINO badge was hindering sales).Ferrari badges were never originally fitted to the 246 range but were added later by the owners to emphasize that although small, these were real Ferrari's.Sorry for the long post, but I just Love Ferrari's.

According to Michael Sheehan's listing (well known dealer of Ferraris), this car is a 1974 (s/n 08252) and was also used in “Sharkey’s Machine” & “Stroker Ace.”. He offered it for sale at $214,950. Was originally Nocciola (bronze) as pictured, painted red in 1990, but it's now Yellow (painted in 2001).
