No this is something American. The Nissan Skyline was not sold in Europe at that time, and if so, it would have been right hand drive... -- Last edit: 2017-04-15 11:43:15 |

That's not entirely true. The Skyline 240K [C110] was actually sold (in relatively small numbers) in select European markets. |

Skyline 240K [C110] was sold in UK for a couple of years (1973 onwards) - saloon only, no coupe. http://www.datsuncars.co.uk/?page_id=170 |

Yes, I remember going to look at one with my boss at that time. He had an XJ6 Mk2 4.2 on order, but delivery was dragging on and his 420G was getting a bit in need of work, so he was looking for a stop gap. He decided against the Nissan and bought a Citroën DS23 Pallas instead. Nice car. |

But if so, it would still have been right hand drive, and not left hand drive, as this car is... |

The first-generation Skyline was also imported in Norway between 1966 and 1969 as the Nippon Skyline, Mikado Skyline and Prince Mikado (they couldn't stick with one name apparently) - 435 were sold. |

This conversation is not about this car in particular, it's rather directed to the general claim you made about the Skyline not being sold in Europe ![]() |

The Mikado https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mikado (a Comic opera) has a great overture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_7nBHj5n20 . The tune changes completely at about 4.00. |
