Because in French it is written that way... even if it is not much used in the same meaning as in English (now in French we rather use "coursier" for that, and "courrier" just means mail). There was previously (years ago) a discussion about that, it seems that the page was deleted in the meantime ![]() - we are not sure that this French spelling was used for the whole life of the model - there were some "Courier" in France and "Courrier" outside of France, as car models easily travel between neighbouring countries We had cases of "Courier" badges visibles with French plates, and that could be due to one of the two cases here above.
