I can't see anything which makes me think Aus build. Unusual grille, but no trace of local assembly in Indonesia; however Philippines or Taiwan did odd grille tweaks on their Cortina builds, so likely it's one of these, maybe 1974-ish. |

I did some digging in local forums, MkIII and MkIV Cortina's here were locally-assembled by Indonesian Service Coy. I agree that the remains of local assembly are very rare, heck even surviving cars are very rare today. -- Last edit: 2020-10-09 06:55:47 |

Updated, and Indonesia added to the list of Cortina assembly countries I've created in forum. Maybe Indonesian grilles were unique?? |

probably an aftermarket piece, considering the rounded headlight model had this grille in the original ad for Indonesia market: -- Last edit: 2020-10-09 21:13:35 |

Alongside the Aussie Ford Falcon. The Cortina was sold as a car for middle class families in Indonesia which was brought there to compete with the LJ-LH Series Toranas which was doing very well in Indonesia and got many fleet sales there. |
