This one is a Model PF. The 'Standard' was the Model PG, introduced later in the year and only available as a coupe or tudor. |

There were 4 Plymouth models in 1934: the PE DeLuxe , the PF also called the PF Standard in certain sources to distinguish it from the more luxuriously appointed PFXX, the PFXX Special and the PG Standard .The one here is indeed a 1934 Plymouth PF or Standard PF on the 107 inches wheelbase with its classical hood louvres. The PE DeLuxe had louvres and hood vent doors. The PG Standard was introduced later in the year as a business line .According to my sources it was produced as a coupe ( 7844 units) and a as a tudor (12603 units) but 62 units of a PG 4 door sedan were also produced though it did not appear in the catalogues. So the use of the term "Standard" for both the PF and the PG in certain sources may be somewhat confusing. |
