it's from the M39 5 ton truck family

 The licence plate is in plain sight, but sadly not readable as the image is significantly reduced. Any chance of viewing it in the original resolution? Then we'll know exactly what this is.

 Thank you humungus! Sadly that's a temporary plate, so no luck in looking it up. It looks like an ex-Norwegian military White M621, but could be a later import as well.

If you screw around on regnr.no you may find a match eventually, but your guess is as good as mine.

this truck has the VERY large and wide wheel arch and that big filter on the right side which makes it a 5 ton M39 series

Well yes and no - I just stated what I thought it looked like, nothing definite. Not familiar at all with these trucks, they all look the same to me.
