The number 47 seen here and 82 on the other picture with the love bug may be Devins built by Devin Enterprises of El Monte in California.Devin was specialised in the production of fiberglass bodies and full kit cars which could be adapted to different chassis mainly Corvette ,Porsche and Volkswagen.Most of these cars were bought for racing. This one looks as a Devin- D complete car kit introduced in 1959 with the engine,transmission rear axle and front suspensions being from Volkswagen origin. Devin's production lasted untill the sixties |

This could also be a Model C that had a Corvair engine. Models D and C used the same body. |
