The white Wolseley 6/80 saloon, UML 557 appears all over the place as a "BLACK" painted police car, and as far as I remember, is written off in this film "Marriage of Convenience". I have just been watching an episode of the excellent 'B' filler movie shorts, entitled "SCOTLAND YARD" - episode "The Cross-Road Gallows, a 1958 B/W film", and Wolseley 6/80 UML 557 appears in it, in black livery, parked in a police compound. Another Wolseley 6/80 black police saloon also appears, KXF510, with excellent close-up shots, you can even read the chrome script on the leading edge of the bonnet (Hood, for U.S.A.) Wolseley SixEighty. A black Morris 4-door saloon also appears with, split-front windscreen (windshield U.S.A.), clearly showing the number plate, NPK 155. I looked on the search list for "SCOTLAND YARD", but none of the 39 part series appear to be available, as yet on this website. I am also unable to supply screen shots to post to this sight, must put that on my to do list.... Also London Transport Country area single-deck bus/coach Route 425 reg.no NLE 662 - RF 662 makes a brief appearance, with Dorking 'DK' garage codes, and route destination "Dorking Bus Station" I think. |
