The above pics and this one are the very last sequence of the movie.

Meanwhile, we hear a martial music and the final very male voice-over stating:
"Thamen [the imaginary kingdom kept under US influence at the end of the movie] is a tiny dot on the World map. Let's hope our new missile base there might never be needed for war.
But the significant thing is: if ever it is needed, we have it."
Nous voici rassurés.

Mark, you are correct. The Corporal Missile Erectors were built by the R.G. LeTourneau, Inc. company. The picture you have here is of a very early model where the missile was lifted using very heavy cable. The later models used a pinion and gear system. Details on this vehicle can be found in the book "R.G. LeTourneau Heavy Equipment The Electric Drive Era 1953-1970".

Yes, I'm cute. How do you know? I never posted my photo on IMCDb!

Besides I said "the most difficult of the items of this movie", I maintain. The others are probably a Mopar and three Ford-UK.

Nevertheless, thanks for the fast ID of this one. I wonder if my tag (trailer-truck/tractor) is the best one.

"the most difficult of the items of this movie"

I find some sedans much more difficult than military vehicles

and i mean "cute" in figurative sense

I believe this is an XM1 Guided Missile Erector. The development of the Corporal erector went XM1, XM2, and then the final design, which I'm not sure if the final design ever had a number designation, I haven't seen it called "M2", which would be the logical final name.

This picture shows an XM1 for sure, it comes from the manual for that vehicle. Notice the front fender is different to the one in the film. That one has a curved panel which goes around the back of the wheel, while on this one that panel is square. I have to assume this was just a difference between two prototypes, because the front of the XM2 looks totally different; it doesn't have a side radiator, the engine compartment is all square. https://i.imgur.com/dMaA3eO.jpeg (it's identical on both sides, I just don't have a high quality photo from the right side. You can find some online but they have getty watermarks). The final production design had another complete redesign of the engine compartment https://dtcawebsite.com/sites/default/files/u203/hap1063.jpg
Also, notice the differences in the erecting mechanism at the very back. Only the XM1 has the "wheel" around the pivot point which is pulled on by cables to raise the missile; the other two have a geared design.
