I have only seen one episode I heard German TV has showed many more, but the RTL we get is somehow different although its non-translated version. |

The gearbox is fake, you can see in episode 4 when they show the car drifting with the camera in the back seat it just rattles around unrealistically , like its just clipped on the automatic, and its abnormally high which would indicate that indeed the automatic is under it. -- Last edit: 2013-01-02 14:09:55 |

This series is currently airing on TV here in Italy. These are the goofs that I noticed until now: 1) As CarChecker and Dagon already noticed above, it has a fake manual gearbox. It's well known that the A8 is available only with the automatic. 2) The engine sound: rather unrealistic for a TDI engine (they might have used FSI petrol A8s as well, especially for the CDN spec model that appears in some scenes. Still, it wouldn't be suitable for it either). 3) Continuity of the rear badges: the "TDI quattro" one suddenly disappers and appears again from one scene to another. Two or more A8s were used, anyway. 4) Continuity of the wheels: basically, it has the ‘10-parallel-spoke’ design alloy wheels, but they often changes with the ‘5-segment-spoke’ design ones. 5) The steering wheel hasn't got the Four-rings badge on it, oddly. 6) Frank Martin does rear-wheel drive-ish wheel spins and oversteers. A bit hard to do in a quattro, honestly. There is nothing to be surprised, anyway. See the preceding two Transporter movies, and all will look very familiar. In spite of everything, I really like it (it can't be otherwise to me, anyway). |

Please, be patient. No need to double post a comment. Or at least quote your message (the piece of paper with the arrow next to the pen) and write ":hello:" ( ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-02-20 21:15:55 |
