 Wow, even in the last few seasons, they were still using stock footage showing NYC 80s Impala taxis which were long gone by the mid to late 1990s.

 I wonder how much it'd cost the producers to send out a camera crew to do some takes of recent NYC traffic. I know they had some budget restraints, but come on!

 NYPD Blue is not the only one that recycles stock footage. I have seen some stock footages from Emergency!, TV Series, 1972-1978 as well ;)

 The last time they went to gather footage was around season 9-10. Seasons 11-12 was mainly filmed in LA and the rating were shitty so I guess they couldn't justify sending out a 2-3 unit to get newer stick footage.
