Can anyone read what the label says? |

It says Cycolac, which some searching reveals to have been a name for acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic. It's probably an Amphicat, which was indeed formed from Cycolac. |

Okay, this is indeed an Amphicat and the Tonight Show archive says it originally aired on June 4, 1967. However, the archive also says the last commercial bumper says "Happy New Year", which makes no sense for a show that aired in June and I can't find any episode on IMDb that matches the guests listed in the archive. Got it. Took a look at the transcript and it's actually from January 2, 1968, which would make it S7E002 and currently has no cast listing at the IMDb. Evidently it's the first appearance of Jack Webb with the Copper Clapper Caper and possibly the first Tea Time Movie. The Tea Time Movie host is not Art Fern but rather Ralph Willie and I have no idea who the Matinee Lady is; she doesn't speak. -- Last edit: 2018-01-04 09:21:38 |
