According to my book on Transporters, the Transporter got them for 1996 while the Kombi received them later (and already had the thorough metal molding on the lower grille) |

Really? Several pages such as some cars on mobile.de indicate that all changes came in MY 1996 for all versions (except the 'Happy Face' for Transporter): New wheels, seats, bumpers, motors and these air vents. |
