In an attempt to better herself, she accepts a marriage proposal from a millionaire. Her only friend is frustrated writer and neighbor played by Hal Holbrook. As Brooke's situation and temperament become increasingly dire, he may be the only one who can save her from herself. Also starring John Colicos, Marlene Warfield, Ed Flanders, and Martin Sheen!
