This car was the very first GENERAL LEE ever. 321 were made for the series and on sat November 11, 1978 this car was used in the filming of the pilot episode and was jumped over Rosco's 1974 Dodge Monaco patrol car. It flew 16ft in the air and 82ft away from the take off ramp. It was damaged beyond repair and was later repainted and used in episode 4 (Repo Men) that the duke boys bought as a parts car so they could win a race.

Whatever, the point is as good as this show is its still a waste of perfectly good dodge chargers. only a dumbass would willingly sell there charger to a production company who is just going to destroy it for a movie or T.V. show.

actually if you think about it the Dukes actually saved more chargers than the destroyed but bringing up there popularity.

Now adays yeah, it would be dumb, but back in the late 70s, a '69 Dodge Charger would have just been another used car that someone sold because they couldn't afford the gas.
