So far, I'd have to say GMC Vandura, and this looks like it's strictly from the 1980's. |

The grille is missing, is there anything else that differentiates the Chevrolet Chevy van from the GMC Vandura from these angles ? |

From looking at google pics it appears only the Chevys had true stacked headlights, the GMCs had a turn signal in the lower spot. So that would make the van above a Chevy. The grill ends look like the style on 1985-1991 vans, but it is hard to be sure. The grill is the only real difference in the entire 1971-1995 run, so it can be hard to narrow these down. Judging by the number of wheel lugs, this appears to be a G-20. This van is a 4x4 though which wasn't factory and was done aftermarket through companies like quigley. So the axles may have been changed at that point. So "1985-1991 Chevrolet G-20 van with 4x4 conversion" is pretty safe for this one. |

Well the proper model name would actually be "Chevy Van." And "4x4 Conversion" is not really what the extra info box is for, it's more for the comments here. |

Seeing as there is no way to know if this is a Chevy vs. a GMC I have no issues with this one being labeled as a Chevy because we would have to choose one. However I do want to correct the misinformation so this doesn't get used as a precedent. Both the Chevrolet and GMC could be bought with the Quad headlights (much like the trucks and SUVs of this time period) I just wanted to set the record straight. /vehicle_123245-GMC-Vandura-1985.html |
