Is there any need for such remarks? Not everyone knows them as much as we do... And it's more specifically a 1988-1989 model due to the hubcaps. |

I was going to commend the first poster for using the question mark at all. It is too often that the critical mark of punctuation is left out, and by doing so, the individual is stating something with some authority. There are comments made by member "park-ward" that I have taken quite seriously. Here is the page: /vehicle.php?id=26147 -- Last edit: 2009-01-28 07:05:56 |

Well I agree that it is quite annoying when someone doesn't know what a very obvious car is. I mean the Crown Vic and Capirce for example are so so very common on the site that even people who aren't interested in them or don't know much about them should at least recognize what it is. They may not know what year or trim level but they should be able to say "That's a Caprice". This is why it really irks me when people list such obvious cars as unknown... |

Well I did know it was a crown Victoria but couldn't remember when they dropped the LTD hince the "?" I try to not say definitely unless I know for sure |

Yeah, I don't mean any offense to you. At least you actually knew the car, but there are some people who don't. I remember one time on here when someone mistaked a Crown Vic for a Caprice. How is that even possible? They are completely different cars made by different companies with different bodies and chassis, there's nothing shared between them yet some people can't even tell them apart! |

In a way I agree with you but c'mon, we seriously can't expect some people to commit it to memory, especially non-American members who may not care as much about the car as you or I may. |

I guess in all fairness to non-American members who don't see these cars in their daily lives it's understandable, but still irksome to me if they have been on the site a long time and still don't recognize common models that are added almost daily. (Caprice, Crown Vic, Taurus, Impala, etc...) |

Is this set in NYC, or did they just leave the paint job from another project? |

Considering the lightbar, it is probably left over from "Rumble in the Bronx". |

It's specifically a 1988 model due to the lack of chrome trim along the bottom of the c-pillar. |
