This got to be a 1972 Fleetwood Eldorado cause of the taillights that were the same until Cadillac made the taillights half-covered on the 73 model, so this car most of had a body kit cause i don't see the air vents behind the doors of the driver and passenger side as it is on a normal 71-72 eldorado. Or maybe the vents must have been shaved off. But hey, I still like this car with this type of customization! ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-01-17 07:00:48 |

i wonder who was the customization company that had customized this car, cause i'm sure it was not Les Dunham Coach. ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-01-17 07:01:13 |

In the 5th picture it looks very much like a Chrysler Cordoba. |

Does anybody know if someone still have this EXACT car 2day? -- Last edit: 2009-06-22 20:29:36 |

Agreed: No Dunham Coach seen here. I strongly suspect the Wisco Corp. of being the conversion maker. |

Whew this was a tough one but judging by the fake wood trim on the dash is that of a 72. Barris perhaps? |

This car was built by my father, Jim Stephenson. His business, \"Stephenson\'s Automotive Innovations\", was located at 5950 Hollywood Blvd, near Gower St, in the early 1970s. He built several \"Pimpmobiles\" in the early 70\'s including one for Larry Williams, who was a 50\'s Rock&Roll singer. Jim Stephenson was also an employee, and the shop manager, at Barris Kustom for quite a few years and he subcontracted the building of many cars for George Barris in the 70s and 80s. I moved to Hollywood and started working for him in 1973. I never saw \"The Mack Eldorado\" myself, but I did see pictures of my father and his crew working on the car and at a \"Car Show\" where it was exhibited and won an award for \"Best Custom Car\". I recall him telling me that \"The Mack\" Eldorado was painted by Jimmy Carmichael, and I\'m pretty sure the interior was done by Joe Leiva. I have no idea of what happened to the car. I do seem to recall him telling me that the owner had been murdered. |

Would really appreciate the opportunity to do a story on the car and document the restoration if possible. Also any back story or history would be much appreciated. |

I’ve seen recent photos and a short video of the 1972 Eldorado driven by Max Julien in The Mack. Apparently it was recently pulled out of storage in Oakland California. It is in poor condition but was towed to a body shop to get restored. If anyone can provide historical phots or current information feel free to contact me privately. |
