This scene is set in Russia but was filmed in the UK. I'm pretty sure that the buildings were constructed using CLASP, a prefabrication system developed for building schools in the 1960s. |

Sure, in West Germany, Holland and elsewhere in the West, too. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plattenbau What I mean is, that in the COMECON-countries and their related "friends" these buildings were mainly constructed by GDR-engineers. It was indeed a not neglible GDR-export-product. |
