Given that this is supposed to be Russia I figure they would have used a Fiat 124 wagon or its VAZ 2100-series clone. |

if it shall be russia, the trabant dont belong to the scene. it was never sold in the soviet union. i say, the wagon is a lada 1200, just because of the reason, that it was and still is much more common than the original fiat. perhaps except in italy. |

The Lada is a Lada (1972 [2102]) because of the flat doorhandles. I think it is not in Russia the Trabant seems to be very rare there (was it ever exported to the USSR?). |

no, the gdr had never exported cars to the soviet union. the ussr had only very few cars imported from other comecon-countries either. |

Not good Moscow is the only European location. Anyway this somehow looks like a studio... so can be everywhere. |

This location is probably in Montreal. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0425061/locations Ladas were sold in Canada, and other genuine Ladas appear in the film so this is probably one too. -- Last edit: 2009-01-14 23:32:15 |

Lada Signet then? But wouldn't it then be a later 2104 instead of 2102... ? |

i know it as lada 1200. it is an earlier one by the chrome bumpers and trims. |

That's [2102] for sure. I doubt that this model was exported to Canada, but if there is a Trabant this Lada could be also individually imported. -- Last edit: 2009-01-15 17:38:21 |
