This episode is running right now here. I've watched some minutes -it's set in the post-Wall DDR in 1990- but I cannot bear that again (I've never ever watched MacGyver before). It's really terrible. The allegedly granddaughter -a double agent- made some mistakes as a DDR-citizen. She asked, just arrived in the USA, MacGyver for "quarters" for the soft drink machine. He noticed that - but not something else. The filmmakers neither She bought (@Lateef  ) Root Beer, because she dreamt of it in the DDR, caused by a Western advertise. Bad goof: Root Beer never appeared in Germany at all, neither in the DDR, nor in old West Germany, not even nowadays |
