AFAIK that was a kind of extra features, you could buy at the VW-dealer or maybe aftersales-market, too. On the Beetle on the main pic it's for sure added later on, because a) it's no "Super Beetle" (= 1302/1303 outside USA) b) between the "Jeans Bug" in 1974 and some special editions of the 1978+ Mexican made Beetles there were no special models. c) the two only original, factory made special editions of the 1302 and 1303 (Super Beetles) were 1302: Link to "www.google.de" Link to "www.kaeferblog.com" 1303: Link to "www.google.de" |
