As written there, it's a Brazilian VW-truck (L 80-base), probably assembled in licence by the US-company Peterbilt. |

This is what is known as a "Peter Rabbit" |

The grill is not right to be a Peterbilt, it is most likely badged as a KW. |

No, not orign German ![]() VW never has built heavier trucks than the LT here. The MAN-VW (which is also smaller than the truck here) had the VW-badge, too, but was produced in the MAN-plant. The Brazilian truck-division of Volkswagen is independent with their developments and model-range. All trucks an buses were planned and built only there. It's only the cab of the truck, which is similar, maybe identical with that of the MAN-VW and the LT I, the rest is origin Brazil. |

The L80 was the heaviest truck offered here, I think. |

But this was never German made. All of them were produced in Brazil: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_L80 A handful of heavy Brazilian VW-trucks are existing in Germany, but AFAIK all of them were owned and used by Volkswagen itself. |

I think PACCAR TECH is right. Peterbilts had a red oval badge; the long text logo in the grille is more consistent with the Kenworth K150/K220/K300. http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/model.php?id=176 Especially this one with the bright metal headlamp surrounds and the vertical badge below the windshield: http://www.trucksplanet.com/photo/kenworth/k150-k300/k150-k300_2291.jpg |
