I'm willing to bet it's a 9C1, i don't think that the Impala was offered in a taxi version. Would anyone happen to know this? -- Last edit: 2007-10-24 01:09:41 |

I've seen a whole lot of these used as cabs, but I'm not sure if these are taxi or police optioned cars,or if the cab companies just bought a bunch of Impalas off a dealer or rental surplus auction? (local ordinances limit age of taxis here, the max is 5yrs old IIRC? Came about due to complaints about old, battered, poorly maintained cabs....and a multi-fatality wreck involving one of them!!) |

The reason I say that is because whether a 9C1 or not, this is definitely a fleet car with those rims/centercaps. Most of the city cabs here in Los Angeles are old police cars, most being 2001-2003s. |

Was that color a factory color or a company color? It looks funny, like a "Off-white" or "Tan-white". I say this because there is a "White-white" pickup in the background ... ![]() |

Myself,I'd say this particular one began life as a Police car??? |

Actually,to me,it looks like a really pale Yellow?? |

It looks white... but I'll leave it without '9C1' then, there's no reason to guess. |

Not an authentic cab as that model had black mirrors and black door handles. This is an old 9C1. |
