Morris Minor? |

Yes, it is a Morris Minor, Series II (1952-56) or 1000 (1956-71). |

Others were listed as mk2, do I have to change that automatic name for the Minor, or are both OK? -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 20:40:17 |

We have the Morris Minor Series MM (1948-52), followed by Morris Minor Series II (1952-56) and Morris Minor 1000 (1956-71). http://www.mmoc.org.uk/Images/history/tree600wide.jpg So, yes, it would be better if you changed it. |

On the other hand, if it is supposed to be between "Series MM" and "1000" it is maybe better to put all these three names in extra info in each case? |

... that's what I meant. |

Hood/bonnet ornament added and new badge in October 1953 so from MY 1954 onwards. Cannot determine any later characteristics but the colour is possibly typical of a later model. To be confirmed if possible. |

Other "mk2" have to be changed, then, I guess |

I will have a look at all the Minors ... I noticed some need some extra infos ... but not tonight. |

Colour confirmed as Clipper Blue this was only available 1959-1961 so Minor 1000 (948cc). Other blues were Smoke Blue (blue-grey) MY 1955 only and Trafalgar Blue (dark blue) for the Minor 1000 (1098cc) and Bermuda Blue (very light blue) for 1969-1971 for Travellers (also used on Police 'Panda' cars). -- Last edit: 2009-01-27 21:05:31 |
