It's one of the prototypes that would replace the van of Postman Pat in "2035 - The Return of Postman Pat" :D

This looks like a concept-car that was made functional.

This car was an Electric powered vehicle and was made for the film by a California company called "Trans FX". TFX was known for the vehicles used in the Batman films. I was brought in as an EV specialist to provide the chassis layout for the drive system, batteries, and auxiliary power (12V lighting, accessories) This car was beautifully appointed and gave the appearance and function of a modern production vehicle. It had a unique single sliding door which provided access to the interior and a rear trailing arm suspension that featured two very tall (36 inch) and narrow (3 inch) tires that were made for some sort of agricultural implement. The front wheels were driven utilizing a VW Jetta transaxle and suspension mated to a 9 inch diameter DC motor operating at 120VDC with a 550 Amp controller. The body was cut from a large block of foam on a CNC gantry mill then divided into sections to form a plug and subsequent molds. It was quite elegant and practical as a local runabout even in its limited form. And yes, The car was called Cricket.

Would love to see people's reaction to seeing the Cricket on public roads

Should we change the name to Made for Movie Cricket perhaps?
