Thats a 1974 Camaro Z28 i can tell you that because the 75 and 76 Camaros did not come with the Z28 badge and it did not come with the factory spoiler and the engine options were critical. |

Five Stars: Not to give too much away for those who have not seen the film, "Bumblebee" Starts the film as this car and later becomes the Chevrolet Camaro Concept (that’s all I’ll say about that) |

i've always been curious how he goes from an old Camaro to the new one...guess i'll have to watch the movie. |

eBay listing for the screen used Yellow 1977 Chevy Camaro "Bumblebee": Link to "cgi.ebay.com" (Winning bid was US $40,100.01) Here are the pictures from the listing. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know if they are from the movie. -- Last edit: 2007-08-30 14:17:27 |

I'd also say it is a 77. The 74 (up to including 75) would have the small rear window. |

Sorry, but this car looks way cooler than the new Camaro concept. They shouldn't have replaced it. |
◊ 2007-09-24 16:15 |
Ils auraient pu au moins transformer le concept-car en Camaro 77,au lieu de faire le contraire,c'est vrai, quoi, quand même! |

Bumblebee: Sent to Earth by OPTIMUS PRIME ahead of the other AUTOBOTS, this tough robot’s job is to do what he does best: gather information, find the keeper of the secrets of the AllSpark and remain hidden. BUMBLEBEE works best in silence and solitude, acting as an unseen guardian over his assigned target. Don’t let the fact that he likes to remain hidden fool you though – when it comes to a fight, he rushes in, both plasma cannons blazing! juste avant le moment où on voit la camaro arriver chez le marchand, celui-ci dit : "ce n'est pas le conducteur qui choisit sa voiture, c'est la voiture qui choisit son conducteur". clin d'oeil à "un amour de coccinelle"... l'instant d'après, la camaro vient se ranger à côté d'une coccinelle ! |

According to Hot Rod Magazine, it's a 1976 Camaro. It sold on ebay for 40,100.01 USD, which is approx 10 times what the car is actually worth. That's ok though, because all the proceeds from the auction went to charity. |
◊ 2007-10-21 22:53 |
This is how he becomes the new Camaro. He drive by one and he "scans" it, turning him into the same car. What's wierd is this means that in the movie someone got their hands on a new camaro before they go on sale! -- Last edit: 2007-10-21 22:54:23 |

Anybody else notice how Mikaela said it had a "high-rise double pump carburetor", then when we see the engine, there isn't a high-rise intake manifold nor a carburetor to be seen? It's funny how they could f--k up such a simple thing, confusing carburetion with electronic fuel injection. Not that it matters to the majority of people anyhow, but for some it's really irritating that they never thought to do such simple fact-checking. -- Last edit: 2007-10-22 05:53:22 |

THANK YOU!!! i pointed that out in the theater and everyone got mad.. it aggravates me everytime i watch it. but i love this car way more than the new one. |

Where did you get that?? Is there a larger version? |

It's kinda like the hackers/computer nerds in movies that start talking about hacking the mainframe and what not. Hackers and Mission Impossible were really bad with it. :-p |

BEST CAR IN THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!! |
◊ 2008-09-21 00:43 |

THE BIG BOPPER ◊ 2009-05-14 21:43 |
Nice car one of my teachers has a 1978 Camaro that has almost the same paint job but does some one els think that Bumblebee shoud bin a 1970 Dodge Super Bee insted |
◊ 2009-06-30 18:36 |
At Skid: Agreed, the newly released Camaro dosen't even look like the old one, it looks like a Challenger but unoriginally stylized. |
◊ 2009-10-14 06:32 |
what parts does stronghold's first picture of the engine have on it? 8 separate intake ports, advanced EFI setup, any info would be nice |
◊ 2011-01-12 19:05 |
Well I think using a 1970 Dodge Super Bee insted of the 1977 Camaro had bin awsome but classic Dodge Super Bee's are really expencive and i guess that Michael Bay tried to be realistic with this movie expencive classic muscle cars are to far but giant transforming robots that are brought to life by a giant cube that can shrink in size and can somehow turn a cell phone to a killer robot with machine guns and missiles is not goint to fare wow what was he smoking but this is still a awsome movie and i freaking love this 1977 Camaro I just wish that they used in the second movie to |
◊ 2011-12-06 23:02 |
i would much rather have the old camaro than the new one |

Here's a link to a website that has a '76 "Bumblebee" Camaro in mint condition: Link to "dark-cars.over-blog.com" |

I think that a 1970 Dodge Super Bee would be a great pick for Bumblebee but I like the 1977 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 way better and one of those reasons is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaPQirKW9Xk but hopefully they IL do that in a future Transformers movie Link to "www.google.com" -- Last edit: 2015-02-26 02:21:43 |

Man, a coronet super bee beater would have been better- but transforming to a 4 door charger? Eh. |
◊ 2016-11-12 03:02 |
Have you ever seen a 1970 Super Bee? They are one of the ugliest cars ever. Google it. |
◊ 2016-11-12 15:24 |

Little bit of trivia, Bumblebee started out as a VW Beetle in the 2018 prequel Bumblebee before turning into a Camaro at the end. |

This is not a z28 but actually an LT because the Z28 has colored bumpers and a z28 badge on the grille. Also I am pretty sure this is a 1976 and not a 1977 because the 1977 has black grilles and headlight surrounds, while the 1976 has gray grilles and headlight surrounds like in the movie. Also the chin spoiler is an after market one. The first pic is a 1976 LT, the second is a 1977 LT, and the final is a 1977 Z28 -- Last edit: 2023-01-05 23:16:30 |
