It's a car that Hurley and his father were going to restore when he got back from Australia, but obviously he was sidelined by a plane crash. Apparently the car is restored in season 4 and plays a larger part, but I haven't gotten to see season 4 yet, so I can't speak with authority on that. |

Not a '73. The 1973 models with front bumpers had heavy vertical guards on them, lacking here. The '72 and '73 regular models had wider mesh grilles than did the '70-'71's.
