Its a pre-facelifted Ford E-150 XL (plastic grill). I am not sure, so could someone confirm this: Ford E-Series passenger (windows, seats) vans are still called Econoline E-150 (or E-250, E-350, E-450)? And cargo vans (like this one, with no seats or windows) are just E-Series, and do not bare the Econoline name? |

I am not sure on the deifferences between Econoline and E150, but both my 1994 and 1997 Cargo vans have emblems on the back that read "econoline 150" and actually the 15-pass ford e-series with seats and windows are called Club Wagon |

The dropped the Econoline name somewhere in end of 90s or beginning of this century. Before that, the E-nnn was just a code (that we can list as internal code) |

what do you mean by pre-facelifted?? they still use this "face" on e-series now just with all-amber parking lights |

im willing to bet it says Econoline 250 not Econoline E250 |

In 2000 (or around that) the Econoline got a (slightly) different grill, new headlights (bigger with no plastic edges) and a updated bumper. I think it was around that time too that it became E-Series. |

you are mistaken, I just had to order my grille and headlight buckets from the ford dealership for my 97 (one of my guys hit a deer) and the dealership said 92-06 for the grille and headlight bezels that I got, there is another "face" of the Econoline that uses a chrome plated grille and composite headlamps but that is higher trim levels, this is a Base (XL) |

This is somewhere in the 1992-2002 generation. 2003 and up had the amber lights as well as the F-series style grill with the Ford logo on it. |

EXACTLY. Maybe not a full-face lift (but after all, a new grill, headlight and bumper counts as a face-lift, heck, the 92' Tempo is considered a new generation and all that is really different is new grill), but I say it is. |

I knew it was before 02 because of the mirrors.....maybe the parts dept was just telling me the grilles are interchangable then, HMMMMMM but the headlights and bumper are the same (bumper changed in 97) -- Last edit: 2007-02-02 21:33:59 |

97-02 based on the front bumper. 92-96 didnt have the opening in the bumper and the license plate was centered -- Last edit: 2007-02-02 21:37:28 |
