Oh no. This is a 1978-1980, Not a 1975-1977. The grille is big. Thats a 1978 model. And Here's the actual on. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3276/2802254152_66782fee06.jpg The rear on the wagon is the same as this one . This is not a regular. It's a wagon. The orange on the bottom is actually a burnt orange for woodgrain. |

I remember director Kevin Lima hosted a Q&A for A Goofy Movie on his Twitter account a few months ago and I asked why Goofy drove an AMC Pacer. He told me it was because his elementary school was located right around the corner from an AMC dealership. |

I have loved that car ever since I first saw the movie as a child Exterior ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Interior ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2022-10-07 14:34:19 |

No. Pacer Hatchback Pacer Wagon |

Keep in mind that this is a cartoon where the artists have taken artistic liberty to stylize the car in their own way, and in some cases completely made some parts of it up, like the chrome strip that runs down the middle of the hood. It doesn't look 100% accurate like any real car or any real Pacer, because it was never meant to. This is a Goofy-universe AMC Pacer, not a real-life-universe AMC Pacer. To your credit, the part that threw me off for years is the lack of a chrome strip on the rear quarter windows; that part of it does look like a hatchback rather than a wagon. But the taillights firmly make this a wagon. I'd agree that the closest thing is a 1978–80 AMC Pacer Wagon. |

Most likely they used a hatch in that video because that was the only thing available in that color. I don't think a whole lot of Pacer wagons were made and remain in that color combination. |
