I agree |

AE86 it is. Never heard of Trueno. Is that a US name? |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trueno But this one could be a simple Corolla, no? Like /vehicle_46325-Toyota-Corolla-AE86-1985.html -- Last edit: 2006-12-17 22:49:12 |

Nope,Trueno was the name given at Japanese market Corolla Levin coupè luxury versions(complete name was Toyota Sprinter Trueno),of which that's the Europe version, known as Corolla GT on some markets;that model shown lasted in production 1983-1987 -- Last edit: 2006-12-17 23:53:33 |

The UK market name was Corolla GT, it is known as Corolla GT model RWD |
◊ 2006-12-18 00:59 |
The Japaneses use to identify that RWD as Corolla FR(=Full Rear-drive),being later FWD identified as Corolla FF(=Full-Front-drive) |

The Supra for UK market was 1982-86 Celica Supra www.engineering.uakron.edu/sae/formula/images/team/GamaufKristenSupra.jpg until Toyota Supra 1986-1992 MKIII arrived |

We call it the Corolla SR5 or GT-S in the states. |

They (Toyota) never sold a Trueno in the UK. That's not to say it isn't an AE86; the UK model was a Corolla Levin. If you look very close at the front of the car, you'll notice it has normal headlights, making it a Levin. The Trueno has pop-up lights and a more sharp front end as a result. |

The euro name is Corolla GT. Very popular car in Finnish rallying on national group F. Link to "www.kaitainen.net" |

Oh yeah, you're right. I can just barely make out the GT emblem on the left side. Hey, out of curiosity, all the pictures in the link are of coupes. Are they more popular, or are the liftbacks just unavailable in Finland? -- Last edit: 2006-12-23 12:14:30 |
