Mid-1970's Chevrolet Malibu, possibly Laguna.

Agree for Malibu,1975 m.y.,but not Laguna S-3(had detachable roof top)

Razzish

Lagunas didn't have detachable roofs, some had t-tops but very few. The car in the picture is a 1974 Chevelle/Malibu Colonnade 2-door (rearend is 74). It's not a Laguna because you can see a full front bumper which Lagunas don't have.

Question about Malibu: from what I understand of the Wikipedia article, the Malibu was a version of the Chevelle until 1978, when it became a lone model. Does it mean that all the "Chevrolet Malibu" that we have on the site and that have a year below 1978 should be listed as "Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu" ?

All I have to refer back to is the 2 Chevelles I owned, My 1968 Chevelle SS-396 didnt have Malibu on it, but lessor models did, ie non-SS models. The same applies to my 1970 SS-454. I believe Wikipedia maybe correct in this instance, I dont recall seeing the Malibu emblems on any 1978 or newer models until the name was resurrected in recent models...

Not all of them, The T-Top was an option that year on many GM models..

My mistake, "I dont recall seeing any Chevelle emblems after 1977 until the recent resurrected models", Sorry Antoine, like I said it was 4 am... 1978 and newer were Malibu's

But that does not reply to my question: should we rename all the pre-78 to "Chevelle Malibu"?

Pre 1978, there were Chevelle Malibu's, Chevelle Malibu Classic's, Chevelle Super Sports, Chevelle Laguna S3's ect, so to answer your question, NO, not all Chevelles were Malibu's, they should be identified on an individual basis. We really can't lump them all together under a single name. Est-ce que cela répond à votre question ? :D

No, this still does not reply to my question, sorry :D
My question is: should all "Chevrolet Malibu" pre-78 be modified to "Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu"? Of course some Chevelle are not Malibu, these would not be changed.

The Chevelle Malibu is the base model, any model above that base model retains the Chevelle moniker, the Malibu name would be replaced by the upgraded individual model. So the answer to your question is no, they are not ALL Chev Chevelle Malibu's.

Sorry but you still haven't understood the question I think :??:
Should the pre-78 listed there: /vehicles.php?make=&model=malibu
be renamed to Chevelle Malibu instead of just Malibu
e.g. /vehicle_61129-Chevrolet-Malibu.html as it is a pre-78 it should be "Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu", no?

Antp: My catelog has the pre 1978 as Chevrolet Chevelle Mailbu. While on the subject it lists the Mid 1960s Chevrolet Chevy II Nova the same way. I think the answer to your question is probably yes but I don't have a catelog for later years and can't check.
