What the hell? you call yourself mrcadillac? there's that huge front clip staring at you and you can't see it's a 1980? come now... |

I think, he can call himself mrcadillac... check 1979 Fleetwood http://caddyclub.tripod.com/pm79fw.jpg and 1980 Fleetwood http://caddyclub.tripod.com/80fb.jpg Next time little less offensive please.. |

I hate when fellow Americans are offensive on this website, it doesn’t exactly gives us a good reputation. ![]() |

Sorry but from these two pictures that you posted, it looks like a 1980 rather than a 1979 for me: see orange indicators under headlights, and shape of front bumper. So Benzilla was right, except that his message was maybe offensive as you said... (note for those that get Tripod error message: copy/paste links to a new window) -- Last edit: 2007-01-10 18:42:59 |

look at the grille - on 1979 similar with this one, on 1980 different mesh.. ![]() |

1979 has much bigger holes in the grille. And I think that the mesh of the grille is less reliable than other details like headlights |

It's just that mrcadillac has gotten on my nerves with some other later model caddys, acting like he's an expert. I'll give him this, he knows the earlier ones better than I, but he's messed up a few times on later ones. Or just said it was impossible to tell what a car was, when I could see. Back to the matter at hand. Post 1984 Fleetwoods all had winged crests under the headlights, on the orange indicators, you can see them in the link posted to the '87. What I honestly meant to say was 1981, I guess that was a brain fart, here's a picture of an ALL ORIGINAL 1981 Deville, you can see the egg crate grille, and orange markers WITHOUT crests. Like the limo up there. ![]() Happy now? By the way, they also used the egg crate grille (like the '87 posted) in 1988. However you can see that the '87, and '88 have different style rub strips on the buper than the original one pictured. Here's a '88. See the rub strips and crests? ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-01-19 06:14:27 |

Jeez, you don't have to be so harsh. So is it a Fleetwood or Deville? -- Last edit: 2007-01-19 23:22:38 |

Sorry if that came out harsh, I'm just stating the fasts. It's a Fleetwood limo of some kind, I'm not an expert on the different types of limos, so I'll leave it at that. |
