We can just delete it if it's not enough to identify... |

Either a Dodge Dart or a Plymouth Valiant- what passed for "compacts" in the USA. Mid-seventies era. |

early 70's could be an AMC ambassador or valiant/dart sedan. |

We need a better pic. But I do think it is a dodge. |

Great riddle here. I'm for deleting |

It has a role, I'd keep it: it should be identifiable some day |

Unless it actually plays some role of significance, please delete it. |

The role, I believe, of this car was for the purpose of driver training. The character, "Mr. Holland," took the job to supplant his income as a teacher, and thus nearly eliminated any spare time he would have otherwise occupied in composing music. SPOILER*** In the end, all of his students and the lives he touched, to include these kids learning to drive, represented his "opus." It should stay. I'm surprised this has not been narrowed down further. There must be more scenes of the interior, unless this is part of a montage that flashes several different kinds of cars being driven by the students. Thoughts? |

There are clear body lines on the hood "dome" and on the trunk. The roof is covered in vinyl. There are enough Mopar diehard fans here that will be able to say whether or not it is a Plymouth or Dodge product. |

I think that is a 1974 AMC Ambassador. Look at the front, where the hood juts out like that. No Dodge or Plymouth had a front the equivalent to AMC's fullsize mid 70's cars. |

1974-78 AMC Matador 4-door. Hood looks too short to be an Ambassador. -Kurt |
