My first post. I just saw a small portion of The Lake House a few nights ago, saw the mustang and shouted to my wife,"that's the car I used to have!" Color called Prairie Bronze, we retitled it diarrhea brown. I'm almost positive the year we had was a 1965, may have even been the '64-1/2. But I respectfully disagree with mrcadillac; our model featured the horizontal bars enclosing the mustang on the grille as does the one in the movie (ours was also a black vinyl top). I'm pretty sure the horizontal bars on the grille were gone by 1967, so I think Sandra Bullock's car in this flick was either a '65 or '66, IMHO. If only she'd driven it with me. I loved that car and still regret selling it because it needed some rear end work and new tires. 289 V8, lots of pep and a great classic 60's car. |

I must respectfully correct/add something here. I have the driving scene car sitting in my garage. It is a 1967, the color is called "Burnt Umber" - I have the one pictured on the top - the body mis-alignment shown between the fender and door matches. What a fabulous find - love driving it, and am loving fixing it up! It has new tires and wheels, now! |

I just saw a ad for the movie "The Lake House" on TV and saw the 67 Mustang used in the movie. I also own a car this color called Burnt Amber (Code V). One year only color, 5612 of the 101419 coupes built were painted this color. I have only seen two in person, mine and one other. |
