Yuri ◊ 2007-06-01 19:36	Actually, it really is an Evo IX with an Evo VIII front bumper. Some of the cars for the movie were sold at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi, where I purchased my Evo VIII. They were selling IX parts off these cars after they went to RMR for modification.

carmaker1 ◊ 2020-09-19 20:42	Unsurprisingly, after looking through this website, it's very telling how Hollywood only relegates this car and Japanese performance cars to tuner flicks. Or only as background vehicles, often passing by and not even set props. Never really get see a regular character in a non-racing movie casually positioned as the owner of some these performance cars. Very telling indeed, how they shy away from that in most instances or are probably ignorant of their existence. -- Last edit: 2020-09-19 20:44:05
ID40 ◊ 2021-08-07 06:20	@Carmaker1 It might be because 1. most legendary tuner/perf cars from Japan are 15/20/25 years old. 2. Some of them never properly got to Western shores (like Skyline GTR-R34) and it's way easier to get something that's on the roads right outside production ground, especially in a non-car movie. Craig Liebermann, the guy who worked to get cars for the first few FaF movies has a YouTube channel where he explains how and why in more detail.
