![]() ![]() The two main characters get into this to go to Celine's flat, this car spends a total of nearly ten minutes onscreen (if you count the interior where the pair have a whole conversation inside the car) does this mean it should get 4 stars? although the scene is not exactly a showcase for the 807, just a setting for the scene, it could have been any other car and it wouldn't really have mattered. -- Last edit: 2009-08-22 00:48:24 |

Usually 4 stars is for a vehicle seen for a long part (e.g. more than half of the movie), but in some cases where the vehicle is heavily visible I think that 4 stars is good. That's what I made for vehicles of the movie "Ronin" where none of the cars is used through the whole movie, though few of them got 4 stars. So if there are lots of exterior views of the car we could put 4 stars. If these are mostly interior views, it is maybe less worth? -- Last edit: 2006-04-28 16:20:55 |

A lot of time I'm not always sure, sometimes its obvious but when two characters get inside a car and have a conversation I get a bit confused. And when you take a TV series like The Sopranos, which I did all the pictures for, each series has 13 hours worth of episodes which is considerably longer than any film, so the amount of screen time Christopher Moltisanti's Lexus LS400 gets in total (especially when it used a lot in the pilot episode) might earn it four stars if it was in film, but in proportion to the running time of the first series, it's pretty low percentage. Another example is the Rolls Royce that gets blown up in The Long Good Friday, it's not on screen for too long but that act of its destruction is a key plot point, and often gets mentioned in capsule summaries of the film, so I decided to give it 4 stars. -- Last edit: 2006-04-28 16:32:33 |

The 806 was discontinued in June 2002, would that make this a 2003? It was introduced in July, the first accessories brochure is from August 2002 and the oldest German brochure I can find from September. But always remember the facelift 106... |

Sales in France started in June, July in Germany and most export markets. Also the 806 started in June 1994 and is listed as 1995, so 2003 is a possibility ![]() |

Ah, I had understood August/September 1994, which is why I opted to list them as '95s. |

Yes for most export markets, but in France they started in June with a limited model range https://zoomcar.fr/fiche-technique/peugeot/806-CHA6-1994.html |

Well here's the 1994 French range, marked with a year and everything, and from what I can see the 806 is not in it. Perhaps that's what we should consult for French MYs, not the separate brochures for the car itself, but the ranges: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/293486813112 https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/livres/2773971188 (images 6-11) The first 806 brochure is from July 1994: Link to "www.brochure-catalogue-voiture-neuve.fr" though the first road test are from late May/early June. Perhaps it was first open to the press and only became available to the public then. And here's the 1995 range (you can tell it's not a 1996 aired mid-95 because a 405 sedan goes through the picture ahead of the 306) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV5vw8gO0ps -- Last edit: 2024-12-17 15:13:25 |
