Skid ◊ 2007-08-12 13:09	Stock Mazda FD RX-7s are gorgeous, which is pretty rare for Japanese sportscars. This one is pretty blasted ugly, but then again so was practically every car in the film. Not many nice cars to dig in this movie.

Although, I'm kinda in doubt now because the headlights are different, but they could've installed those for the Veilside kit. And I agree, this IS the best looking car. I read a book about these cars and it was made by the guys who tricked these cars out. THEY said that the RX-7 was used in all three movies. Maybe it'll be in the fourth too. That'd be sweet. But they list it as a 1993 or 1994. They used both years. I hope this helps give it a year!

symustafa1996 ◊ 2012-03-05 00:36	No, Universal Studios bought this car of Veilside after seeing it at some car show. It's originally a one off, but now offered by Veilside. The one-off was maroon, but they repainted it orange and black. If the hood is lifted, you can see traces of the original color.

Rotary Engines are a TOTALLY different ball game...where standard internal combustion car engine has pistons (moving parts that change direction). a Rotary Engine has no moving parts that change direction. where a regular engine redlines at 8500-RPM, Rotary Engines can rev to like 16,000-RPM... my dad's best friend has one...I drove it a bunch of times...it's fast, but it's nothing like his other friends 1967 Chevy Corvette 427. THAT Car is so f-ing fast it shouldn't even be street legal. he needs to get tires that can keep it on the road...

All JDM for filming purpose and was display only after filming.
