 In this episode ..due to constant rain ..Jon & ponch have to take out a car instead of their bikes. The car is said to be 'Brand new' (so it's 1977).

 The pictures Stronghold provided are 1974-75 Dodge Monaco. The new one has to be a 1977-78 Dodge Monaco.

 The picturs Stronghold posted is of a '75. I believe '74s had a horizontal bars instead of the eggcrate for the grille.

 FWIW while they do mention that this is a brand new car...and it is when the car is shown some of the time, other times they are seen using a 1975 monaco like stronghold posted above...

most of the interior shots from that episode are the 77, whereas the exterior shots, including when the car is damaged both by one of the suspects in a chase, and by grossman backing into it at the end, are a 1975
