Heinkel Kabinenroller British version, Trojan 200, was not in production until 1961, so this can't be it. |

Okay, I'll agree. Trojan started to make the bubblecar in late 1961. http://www.trojanmuseumtrust.org/bubble1.htm The model is (probably) 153 and it might even have been either assembled or produced in Ireland. As it looks like a later model due to the shape of the front wings I will set the year to 1958 (last year of German production and first year of short lived Irish assembly and production). The term 'Kabinenroller' translates to 'cabin cruiser' which was also used for BMW Isetta and the Messerschmitts. It is rather a type of vehicle. The Heinkel was built from 1956 till 1958, the Trojan from 1960 till 1966, but in between, this bubble car was produced in Ireland. It was called Heinkel-I. Wouldn't this be a nice compromise? And a new make as well! |
