late 80's or 90's Ford F-350 SuperDuty pickup. |

'92-'99, actually, since it's a little more rounded. |

No, 1992-1997. I'd say a 1995 or 96, because of the 4-spoke steering wheel, briefly seen when Stanley drives it into a hole. -- Last edit: 2007-08-07 07:13:10 |

SuperDuty is not available in pickup truck version in this model year. F-SuperDuty is only available in cab-chassis only. In this form, this pickup truck has rear dual wheel (DRW). |

Not a 1995 model, due to the front bumper trim. |

At least a 1994 because of the airbag but I didn't think that the heavy duty versions had one... i know someone with a 1994 F-250 and it doesn't have an airbag. |

Yes indeed, but this is specifically a 1994 model since it doesn't have the newer bumper that came with the 1995+ models of this generation. -- Last edit: 2008-12-13 03:02:11 |

For some reason this truck grew on me. I hated to see it go in that hole. |

Mr. Sir's truck, which Stanley steals at one point and drives it into a ditch. 2024 edit, from IMDb, a factual error: "Mr. Sir's water truck is a 1994 F350 XLT, according to the body style and badges on the fenders. When Stanley crashes the water truck into the hole, viewers can see an airbag deploy from the steering wheel, but Ford did not put airbags in heavy duty pickups until 1998." -- Last edit: 2024-06-07 07:27:55 |

A driver's airbag was not available for 1992-1993 F150s an Broncos, but became standard in 1994 and remained standard until 1996; 1994-1997 F250s and F350s NEVER had an airbag because by law it was not required in the heavy-duty trucks. Either Shia LaBeouf was driving an F150 during that particular interior shot, or more likely, they put an airbag steering wheel in the dually; How they made it deploy I do not know... |

Pretty sure they added a 1994-1996 F150 steering wheel (with an airbag) to give the appearance of the truck having an airbag (1994-1997 F350s did not have airbags), and I'm guessing they absentmindedly installed it upside down. And actually airbags were not required in trucks and SUV in 1994; The 1994 GM trucks and SUVs (compact and full-size) DID NOT have any airbags, and neither did the 1994 Ford Explorer or Ranger; By 1995, all GM trucks had at least a driver's side airbag. -- Last edit: 2020-04-16 07:14:33 |
