The carriage/body is typical for the German bus manufacturer Drögmöller - especially the dart-like line of windows to the front. They usually took Mercedes Benz O 303 for their chassis. Drögmöller was bought by Volvo 1992 and is not present on the market with its own name any more. |

So what name should I use? Mercedes or Drögmöller? |

Hmm. What about "Mercedes O303 - Drögmöller"? |

Hmmhmm. More research proved this only half correct. ![]() This is a Drögmöller Comet E330. <grmpf> |

Please check the links to here from the main page. There is something wrong with o/ö/oe. So clicking on the manufacturer ends in a dead end, but not here. Thanks. |

Yes, I saw that. It is strange: there is no problem with the "ë" of "Citroën". I guess that it only accept french characters, but I wonder why: german characters are part of the same charset than french ones. I'll see if I can correct that later ![]() |

If you type an "real" ö on a german keyboard, it works. The link uses "o" instead, and so there is no matching database entry. Happy PHP wrangling! ![]() |

That's a feature: the site replaces the accents by basic letters. It does the same for Citroën, it becomes Citroen. It is probably a bug of MySQL. So I either have to find another solution, or keep accents in the URLs (but they look quite ugly with all the %nn stuff) |

Then the solution could be simple: Find the table (or whatever) where MySQL stores the replacements for the "special" letters and add the ö. In Germany, oe instead of ö is also allowed if the keyboard lacks it - e.g. an US one. |

It seems that the current database only uses French charset. MySql can use German charset, but then I would loose the French one. I'll try to find a solution later. |

E 330 Comet had 2 axes, with 3 it is E 430 Super or Euro Comet. -- Last edit: 2017-04-28 20:23:02 |
