I'm not sure about this one, can it really be called a vehicle? It's more of a model, like the Mercedes spaceship in Spaceballs, it's resembles the Countach, but I really doubt there's any Countach underneath this, this is meant to be some kind of hovercar and it gets blown up. -- Last edit: 2006-12-15 16:12:00 |

Even though this may be a model since it blows up in this shot, another scene shows the driver getting out of the real vehicle. -- Last edit: 2006-12-15 18:22:05 |

We could list it as "Made for Movie", but it is still considered as a vehicle I think, as it looks like a car. |

No, there is no real Countach, it must be a model. |

Yes, I've seen this film too, I meant model as in full-size model, all this car does is sort of "hover" back and forth, I don't think it's a proper moving vehicle that one could actually drive, just a big prop that uses special effects to look it's a hovercar. It's possible they took a real Countach and stuck panels on it, but why would they mess with a valuable supercar instead of making a fibreglass replica. It does look like the Countach in a lot of ways, maybe the idea behind it is someone in the future took an old Lambo and modified it into a flying/hovering car. But it doesn't seem likely to me that they'd chop up a real Lambo, this frame doesn't show the whole thing but if you watch the film you'll see that it has little booster jets underneath. Maybe this should be called "Made for Movie Lamborghini Countach Custom Replica". -- Last edit: 2006-12-16 18:12:42 |

NEW INFO.....originally coloured orange ..it was changed to Ferrari red shortly before filming...TWO vehicles were made, both made from wood and fibreglass..they had no original or replica Lamborghini Countach parts and were made from scratch, not converted from existing kit cars. -- Last edit: 2009-10-22 18:49:51 |

Although it seems like I've left this a long time ![]() ![]() If you watch the scene here (starts at 5:51) Link to "www.youtube.com" it appears to be a hover car, it might have had something underneath which was removed in post-postproduction to make it look like it was hovering above the ground but this doesn't seem to be an actual "vehicle". What they used in Titanic was also a model ![]() |

Go hunt few real-too-background cars and leave this one alone ![]() |

it's not even a good replica of the countach |

It's a futuristic hovercar pastiche of a Lambo. It's not a car ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-04-02 18:22:38 |

I bet that this thing is 10 times more hard to park then a Lamborghini Countach ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If it's a hovercar it would not need all the bodywork bits which are designed to create downforce. |
