This is apparently the car used in the film. It is said to be a 1963 Austin Mini Cooper on the little sign next to it, but I can't confirm if that's correct or not. Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" |

i think 1963 would have visible door hinges and sliding windows ( are they really sliding or its like the SVX and only a part of it opens ? ) like https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1963-austin-mini-cooper-3/ but there way better experts on this website.. ![]() -- Last edit: 2021-08-14 16:31:59 |

The sign is wrong. It's a perfect match for a 97 as listed. The amount of work needed to transform a 63 into a 97 would be totally unrealistic. |

They were full sliding windows. Part of the logic was to reduce costs, but the other factor was BMC were not confident that there was enough interior storage space to convince buyers, so they wanted to provide huge door pockets to maximise available space. |

Made for USA? -- Last edit: Keitanyan |

No. The last original Minis for US were sold in 1966, so this is a grey import somehow. |
