One of my old cars. I already own an Acclaim and this came up locally in Spring of 2016 for going to scrap. I rescued it and spent about £400 putting it through an MOT. I kept it for a while as a back up car and a friend of mine listed it as a joke on a car selling page and I was phoned up by a production company and offered cash for it. I said no initially and they promised to not wreck it. To be fair, they had it in “The end of the ******* world” and they used it alongside a junker which they crashed into a lake; this survived for another 18 months or so but sadly ended up here. It’s a shame, but the car was very rotten and it took me a lot to get it through a U.K. test in 2016. The car had to have a whole respray to go on tv, or at least a dust over. It’s a shame; but I saved it from being scrapped whole. |
